Rented today two e-bikes. Guys were very helpful to teach us about bikes and discuss a few routes. Smooth rental process. Maybe took 5 minutes and we were off.
I brought a phone mount but they will rent you one to navigate. Area roads easy to navigate too.
We road to coast via national park to Zandvoort. Glad to have e-bike into the wind.

If you want to rent a bike in Haarlem definitely go to Green Bikes, located right outside the central train station. The staff is wonderful: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of good advice. The rental process is easy and stress free and the bikes are awesome. You have your choice of regular bikes with 3 gears or e-bikes. Regular bikes are definitely enough for city biking and even for trails to the north and the sea. Great experience! FYI you can’t rent helmets so if you plan to rent bikes in The Netherlands for long distance biking it is. Eat to bring your own. Most Dutch bikers don’t wear helmets.
